(the boring bit!)

  • During peak season and all school holidays we can only accept bookings for a minimum of 7 nights.

  • Short breaks are sometimes available outside of peak season (minimum stay 3 nights).  Please call Rosie on 07960 696018 to discuss your requirements.

  • A 25% deposit (non-refundable) is required at the time of booking.  The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before check-in day.  The booking fee must be paid and cleared by the arrival date.

  • All prices are in GBP (£) and are fully inclusive of WiFi, electricity, central heating, bed linen and towels.  Please bring your own outdoor/beach towels.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer or cheque.  Cheques should be made payable to Mrs R Robson.  Please write your full name and dates booked on the reverse of the cheque, and request our postal address once your booking is confirmed.

  • A high chair and travel cot (without linens) are available by request, but these must be requested and booked at least two weeks in advance of the arrival date.

  • For the comfort of all guests, the cottage is strictly non-smoking.

  • Complimentary WiFi is available and reliable.  However, the service is not guaranteed (like anywhere) and Quail's Nest will not accept liability should the WiFi connection be unavailable for any reason. Access to this service may be suspended at any time.  Coming soon, superfast broadband!

House rules for four-legged guests:

  • Up to three, well behaved dogs, are permitted to stay at Quail's Nest by prior arrangement and for a small additional fee per dog.

  • Dogs are not permitted in bedrooms at any time.

  • Dogs must not be left alone in the cottage or in the grounds unattended.

  • The property, including all outside areas, must be left clean and undamaged. If damage is caused an additional £50 cleaning charge will be levied.

  • Dogs must be clean before entry to the cottage.  We provide a limited number of towels for dog use (in the utility room drawer) so please, do not use other towels provided for humans for your dog(s).

  • The utility room was designed specifically to make it easier to keep the rest of the cottage clean. This room also has underfloor heating and is our preferred area for dirty dogs, boots etc.

  • Your dogs must be at least one year old and fully house-trained at the time of your stay.

  • Please keep your dogs on footpaths, adhere to the Countryside Code and respect the peace and quiet of our neighbours in the village.

  • Please keep your dog(s) under control.  If recall isn't perfect, please use a lead.

  • We expect our guests to clean up after their pets, both at the property and when walking in the surrounding area.
